So many of you will know it’s World Mental Health Day today. It’s been all over social media today and I’m so pleased that it seems that finally it is starting to become acceptable to talk about mental health issues. I struggled for over 10 years after my dad died. I struggled to cope with my bereavement and hid it as I was too embarrassed to speak up. When I finally did and received the help I needed I felt a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.
